General Rules It is your responsbility to read these rules and the more detailed regulations of the club,
located in the Main Clubhouse. It is also your responsibility to challenge any member or guest who may have inadvertently
forgot a safety regulation or may just need an attitude adjustment on club rules.
If, however, an immediate confrontation
does not solve a rule or safety infractgion, report the situation and individual's identity to a club officer as soon
as possible. Disciplinary action, if needed, will be assessed at the next monthly meeting.
As a member of the SSC,
I acknowledge there is a safety risk in the use of firearms.
Dispose of all litter properly, or take it back with
you. This includes but is not limited to shell casings, cartridge boxes, used targets, etc.
Camping and campfires
are permissible in the pond area only.
Children are welcome at this club, but all persons under the age of 12 must
be under the direct supervision of a guardian.
As SSC is not a public or free shooting facility it must be gated.
It is therefore the responsibility of the member who is the last to vacate to lock the gate. Vandalism and constant use by
non-members costs us all. Please help get a grip on this problem.
No alcohol is allowed on any of the club's
ranges. You may not shoot on any range if you have consumed alcohol or any controlled substance.
Skeet and Trap Rules
You may sign up on one trap or skeet sheet at a time. No multiple
sign ups, sign up for additional shooting rounds only after completing your previous round.
Pay for your trap or
skeet round in advance.
Eye and ear protection are mandatory.
A trap or skeet squad shall be 5 or less,
except if there are no other people waiting to shoot.
Practice gun safety, load only when it is your turn and you
are on the pad. Also make sure your gun is open with empty hulls removed before leaving the pad.
The last squad
of the day normally closes down each field by filling and tripping each trap and shutting off power from within the clubhouse.
